Rolls-Royce Rugby Wraith

When your company is Rolls-Royce you don’t typically need an excuse to celebrate.  A the most lauded luxury car company in the world that has been building the cars that have epitomized the best that a car can be with amazing style, unequalled performance and singular looks for decades this car company has customers flocking to it and is never short on orders. With many cars offering handmade features the Rolls-Royce lineup is one that easily shows us a phenomenal selection of cars that are fit for royalty.  Even though these are cars of the high class and the pristine the company has done something that is maybe out of character; or maybe not.

Rolls-Royce has created a Rugby inspired Wraith.  This car is covered in the English White paintwork which is the same color that is worn by those who attend Rugby School.  ON the inside the car is a seashell colored interior that has Navy Blue accent lines.  Add the English Rose to some of the features such as the center of the dashboard and in the headrests and this car should be standing at attention singing “ God Save the Queen”.

Of course this is only one of the many Wraiths that have been made for the purpose of celebrating this year.  The team at Rolls-Royce Bespoke has been creating celebratory and personalized Wrath models all year.  They have found ways to design and color the exceptional car to celebrate movies, music and even fashion, but the name Rolls-Royce has always been synonymous with luxury, comfort, style and even the high class fashion that is enjoyed by the extremely rich.  Why in the world with this company want to celebrate a sport that is so rough, down in the mud and certainly completely against what the class stands for?

One certain reason is the fact that Rugby is as English as it gets.  Known to be a bit cheeky at times the English invented Rugby and the simple task of picking up the football (soccer ball for us in the US) and started running with it.  This was created by William Webb Ellis many centuries ago and the Rugby School which the colors are fashioned after was actually begun in 1567, much longer than most other schools in the modern world have been created.  With a sport that is certainly steeped in rich tradition and a truly English creation is more than enough to explain why Rolls-Royce would want to celebrate.

As one of the most popular team sports around the world, many across several nations can recognize and relate to a car that is inspired by the sport of Rugby.  It takes a lot of hard work and effort to play this sport and in some ways this Wraith might be the perfect nod to the hard working people in Goodwood who make Rolls-Royce possible.  This beautiful car certainly has been done right, as you would expect from the name it comes from and this amazing vehicle will stand as a nod to an English tradition that has been enjoyed for centuries and has spread around the world for all to enjoy.
