SEMA is the place to be starting at the end of October and rolling through the first week of November. Many automakers will showcase cars that have been put through the upgrades of those who wish to tune them to be more of anything than when they came off the line at any of the manufacturers. The biggest difference between this show and many of the other automotive shows is the lack of concepts. Instead of concept cars that might not make it to production, you get production cars that have been modified and the companies that showcase them are more than happy to modify one for you as well for the right price.
The Hyundai that is making all the noise is the Tjin Edition Genesis Coupe which will make its debut at the show on Tuesday November 3rd. This car was inspired by underground racing and can produce as much as 500 horsepower making it one of the most amazing Genesis models ever. With a wide variety of great parts aboard this car that shows up in partnership with Neil Tjin, president of Tjin Edition RoadShow offers the imagination we want to see and the performance we can only dream of.
This Genesis Coupe starts with a green Axalta paint job and rides on custom made Rotiform wheels. the performance under the hood is impressively made better with the Bisimoto Engineering supercharger system and Baer brake system. Not to leave out the creature part of the car the interior is redone in CT-inspired Alea leather to be one of the sexiest vehicles that can makes its way to the SEMA show. When you look, hear and maybe even ride in this awesome Genesis you will see and understand all the different upgraded aspects at work together for this amazing car.
Under the hood we see the Hyundai 3.8-liter Lambda V6 engine that uses the vortech supercharger mentioned. Other upgrades include a free-flowing exhaust system and front mounted intercooler along with a blow off valve all made and installed to help reach the number of 500 horsepower. Under the car the 19-inch three-piece HUR wheels are absolutely gorgeous especially when fitted with the Falklen FK345 tires. The car has been lowered and uses KW coilovers to give it a more aggressive look and feel. The front lip, rear spoiler and metal trunk lid are all custom and made by Unique Fabrication.
If every Hyundai offering is going to be this awesome we are going to be talking about this show for many months to come. This is certainly a great teaser for us to enjoy and appreciate as it makes its way to the show and gives us a fantastic offering of vehicles that will make a huge impression. Will the Tjin Genesis leave with any awards; that is still to be seen, but it certainly appears this could be a front runner I a variety of categories and it might be one that cleans up and brings a variety of accolades back to the shop.
