Thankfully the great looks and smooth style of the Q50 remain and now we have more to enjoy in regards to features and equipment to make this a luxury car that can compete with the German brands.

One of the major changes the Q50 has for you to enjoy is a selection of four engines to choose from. This makes the Q50 feel more like a luxury car, which it is. The three gasoline only engines use the same seven-speed automatic transmission while the hybrid has a its own transmission setup. The base engine offers you a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that produces 208 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine can be had with 23 city/31 hwy mpg in RWD or 22 city/28 hwy mpg for the AWD version.

Next up is the 3.0-liter twin turbocharged V6 engine that produces 300 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. The third gasoline only engine is the 3.0-liter twin turbocharged V6 that is tuned up to 400 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque. With this added power you might think there isn’t any fuel efficiency, but this model still offers 20 city/26 hwy mpg for the RWD version and 19 city/26 hwy mpg in AWD.

The hybrid powertrain uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine plus an electric motor. This gives you 360 combined horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. With this powertrain under the hood you have 28 city/34 hwy mpg for the RWD setup and 27 city/31 hwy mpg in the AWD version. As you can see Infiniti has done a great job of making the Q50 a true luxury car with the offering of RWD on all models and plenty of great engines for you to choose from, giving you the powertrain you want to drive on any road.
