You know that brakes are an important part of the driving you do on a daily basis. These are the part of your car that give you the stopping power you want and allow you to slow down around a curve when taking your foot off the gas isn’t enough. Check your parking brake and make sure it’s not engaged before you use that indicator as the warning you need. Once you’re sure the parking bake isn’t causing the light to be on, take your vehicle to a certified service location and have your vehicle checked out to see if you need to have your brake pads changed for new ones, which hopefully is the only thing you’re going to need replaced.
Don’t wait to have your brakes fixed when you’re being given the warning signs. Just because it will take time out of your day or you feel like your brakes will last a while before going in doesn’t mean you should keep on driving. The loud noise coming from your brakes is the indicator that’s rubbing on or rotor. The more this rubs your rotor the more likely it is that you’ll have to replace these items on your car, which costs you more money than it should.
