The Run is Ending with a Bang

How does a car company celebrate the end of an era? One great way to do so is to build a special edition of the car that pays homage to the models that came before it. Ford is preparing for the end of the production of the Focus RS hot hatch that has been one of the most discussed and admired cars on the market for the past few years and they are making these preparations with a car that will give us the look and the feel that we want when we’re ready to drive on the road. The Focus RS will stop being produced in April, but this car is going to be built for one last run with a new Focus RS Heritage Edition. This new edition of the car pays a fitting tribute to the Escort RS that we saw in the past. Those who choose this car will get the benefits of a classic Tief Orange paint job and a variety of excellent upgrades that will make it a car that’s a lot of fun to discuss and to drive when it heads out on the road to give you the ride you’ve been after.

Detailing the Heritage Edition

One of the first things you’ll notice about this special edition of the Focus RS, besides the bright orange paint, is the fact that it offers you a boost in power. Thanks to the Mountune FPM375 upgrade, this car will have 375 horsepower and 376 lb.-ft. of torque which is a boost of 25 horsepower and 30 lb.-ft. of torque over the standard model. This is achieved using a high-flow induction kit, an improved turbo recirculating valve, and an ECU improvement. The front wheels will enjoy an improved torque and traction control where you’ll see a Quaife mechanical locking differential to handle the upgrade while making certain you still have the power you need to the rear wheels to ensure you can drift when and where you want to. You’ll see gray brake calipers and black forged alloy wheels in this new car along with black mirror caps and a black rear spoiler to give you the dramatic look you’ll certainly admire and want to drive. This special version of the Focus RS has all the upgrades right where you want them while paying tribute to an amazing car that came before it.There will only be fifty of the Focus RS Heritage Edition models built and the price will be a bit more than the typical Focus RS. Does this mean we won’t see this Ford Focus offered on the market any longer? Not at all, this is simply a model that’s being built to signify the end of the current generation of this car so that you can have the fun and active drive you want. A new Focus RS is already in the works, and we’ll see soon enough what it will be, until then, we can enjoy this special model that’s perfect for the drive.
