Luxury Power

2015 Porsche Cayenne S Interior

Imagine you are driving along in traffic and you see a nice luxury vehicle ready to pull out into traffic ahead of you but they don’t go even though there is plenty of room.  Are they afraid?  Have they gotten a call that makes them stay put?  What is going on?  As you come up on them you see the driver is intently looking for a great place to enter traffic, but hasn’t done so, and wonder why.  You also may wonder why this luxury car is not coming onto the road.  Is it possible that even with all the features aboard such a vehicle the manufacturer did not add in enough power to make the ride fun and allows the owner to feel like they could meet any road challenges?

Underpowered luxury vehicles are an awful sight.  Seeing them on the road makes you wonder if the owner only paid for the name so they could say they drive around in a top end luxury vehicle even though the car they own can’t even enter traffic in a reasonable amount of time.  Make sure you never fall victim to a lack of power in your luxury vehicle.  In order to help you avoid that costly and embarrassing issue, here are several luxury vehicles with plenty of power for the 2016 model year.

Mercedes-Benz GL- Class

We start off with a highly powerful SUV that says “get out of my way” which many gladly oblige.  The GL-Class offers a massive amount of power in its gorgeous all luxury look.  The power you can have comes from a 5.5-liter twin turbocharged V8 pushing out 550 horsepower, more than enough to get going and pass those who can’t seem to get out of their own way on the highway.  The GL-Class is a great choice for style, handling, luxury and of course, power.

Jaguar F-TYPE

Nothing says power like a super sport roadster.  This mean beast is awesome to look at, fun to drive and full of amazing features.  The F-TYPE is actually built with technology that makes the engine sound even angrier than it normally does.  When you choose the most powerful version of this beauty you are gaining the benefit of the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 which gives you a full 550 horsepower to enjoy.  Not only is this a powerful car to drive, it’s one of the most funs on any road with the deft handling and awesome suspension.

BMW M6

Anytime you see the M designation on a BMW you know to watch out because that model is full of sport and power.  This gorgeous luxury sport sedan can really bring the heat with a 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 that coughs up 560 horsepower.  The M6 has long be lauded as the right size and full of the best equipment for you to have a phenomenal sports sedan that can handle all you driving challenges as well as carry your family on a weekend excursion.  Take the M6 out to the track once in a while and let loose every horsepower under the hood, I promise we won’t tell your spouse you did.

Audi RS 7

At 560 horsepower the 4.0-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine of the RS 7 becomes a mere footnote in most cases, except this one.  The RS 7 is one of the most powerful luxury cars on the road but has a fantastic secret; the best features are inside the car.  Audi has really outdone itself this year with the interiors that it has built into its cars.  You truly feel pampered inside any Audi and in the RS 7 that feeling continues to the awesome power that is aboard this great luxury car.

Porsche Cayenne

The Cayenne is one of the most fun luxury sport SUVs on the planet.  It’s basically built to be an overgrown 911, giving you more space for people and gear than the small iconic sports car.  The Cayenne certainly is no slouch when it comes to style, elegance, aggression and of course power.  The 4.8-liter twin turbocharged V8 that puts out 570 horsepower take care of your every power need in the Cayenne and make you come back asking for more.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class

As the top of this midrange sedan’s lineup is a car with an awesome amount of power.  Full of graceful curves and lines as well as exciting luxury features to be fully enjoyed, the E-Class is one of the most exciting choices in the luxury market you can make.  Mercedes- Benz has built their cars to always be a step ahead, and the handling of this car is only surpassed by the amazing power which comes from the 5.5-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine which brings in 577 horsepower for you to step on the gas and be plastered to your seat with a huge smile on your face.

Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class

The CLS-Class is powered by the same engine as the E-Class with the same horsepower number.  The differences are numerous otherwise between the two.  The CLS has front wheels that are pushed forward and rear wheels that are drawn back to give you the most wheel base possible on this car.  The sloping rear roofline makes for a car that actually is a four-door coupe rather than a sedan.  This gives the CLS a stylish and sporty appearance and the increased wheel base allows for a more spacious cabin inside.

BMW 6 Series

One of the highest forms of compliment is mimicry.  The 6 Series is a car many automakers should pay attention to and copy endlessly.  The right size, weight, balance, handling and power are all present in this car and keep you from having a feeling of power envy when it comes to the rest of the car on the road today.  The 6 Series is fun to drive and easily makes you feel successful every time you head out on the road.  The 591 horses being pushed out of the 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 might have a little something to do with the feeling of success you get when driving this beauty.

Nissan GT-R

Have you ever seen a would-be sports car at that same intersection having trouble entering traffic?  Not with the GT-R.  This is one of the favorites on just about anyone’s list and drives, handles and accelerates like it’s supposed to at every turn.  This is a car you will want to take out on the track and see how many jaws will drop and heads will turn as this beauty flies on by.  At 600 horsepower, the GT-R is powered by an amazing 3.8-liter twin turbocharged V6 engine, leaving me to believe Nissan may have a V8 for us in the near future that will really push the horsepower limits.

Cadillac CTS-V

When you want some horsepower that will shock and amaze you and others; turn to the Cadillac CTS-V.  This amazing car is a collaboration within GM and has been given a Corvette engine in the form of the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 bringing in 640 horsepower and creating a dynamic structure of power, precise handling and awesome luxury all wrapped up in a Cadillac style.  This is one Caddy you can take to that track and leave many sports cars behind as you enjoy the massive number of horses you have running under your hood.

With these ten awesome luxury cars to choose from, certainly one will be the right choice for you to take out on the road and make your friends jealous of the great power you have under the hood of your car.  Don’t all yourself to ever fall victim to underpowered luxury again, you are paying a premium for the benefit of driving a luxury car, and you might as well show off in your new car and with one from this list, that’s exactly what you will do.
