When you hear the term drift car what do you picture? Normally we might think of Japanese models from Subaru, Toyota, Nissan and Mazda that offer a small wheelbase and the right setup to drift with excellent precision. These cars are built to win around the corners because you don’t have to slow down much and can ride the handbrake to the drifting speed that will put you ahead of the rest of the pack. While these cars can be tuned up to have the power you want, they are typically small, lightweight and quick while also being the perfect cars for the job.
What makes these cars a great choice beside their performance oriented build? Most of the time these cars are cheap to buy, which means you can put a few hundred dollars in upgrades in them and not feel too bad if they wreck or break during action. They are made to be beaten on and ridden hard around a tight corner or around a spiral ramp to be the ones that can lead the way when the bottom is reached. What you wouldn’t expect is what has been done by the Hubinettes, which you can watch in this video.
The Hubinettes own a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2. That alone makes them a couple that you envy, and you might think they just drive their car around to show it off and let everyone know they have had immense financial success, but that’s not enough for them. Neither is keeping this car in stock form in which they have scoffed at and installed some amazing features to this car to make it even better than before. As a supercar you know this car will handle itself around the track and there aren’t very many other cars that will beat it to the finish line, but that’s not what we’re interested in.
What this couple has done to this car is put in some drift features to make their Huracan a high powered drift weapon that can slip and slide around the corners and make some amazing donuts in the parking lot wherever they want to show off their car. Because this car is so impressive, Donut Media is doing a whole video series about this couple and their car to give us a better look at what they’ve done to their supercar to make for an impressive car that we can all enjoy.
This Huracan does offer the 580 horsepower that comes out of the V10 engine that’s naturally aspirated, which makes even driving purists squeal with job. The couple added a hydraulic handbrake, new Nitto tires, Vorsteiner wheels and a carbon fiber Vorsteiner body kit to give us a complete package. It’s easy to see that this couple wanted their car to be more than just a show of opulence and to have a lot of fun in a supercar that’s built for the fun. I’m sure the folks at Lamborghini are more than happy to see at least one of their cars is being enjoyed in the right way, with lots of fun on the track.
