Chevy trends electric in 2024 with three new models that are fully battery-powered. Meanwhile, the Bolt is going on hiatus until the brand comes up with replacements, and an electrified AWD Corvette is on the table. Unfortunately, the electric transition means the discontinuation of yet another iconic car after inventory runs out.
Changes for the 2024 Blazer and Blazer EV
The regular Blazer was refreshed for 2023, so the only new feature it gets for 2024 is a new paint color. It comes in four trims and offers two engine choices. On the other hand, the Blazer EV is new for 2024 and comes in three trim levels. A dual-motor electric drivetrain with AWD is standard, but a single-motor RWD layout is available. Depending on the trim, the Blazer EV can get up to 324 miles on a single charge.
Changes for the 2024 Camaro
This is the iconic car that’s being discontinued after the 2024 inventory runs out. Already, the Camaro’s Lansing assembly line has gone dark, so the only inventory left is what’s at Chevrolet dealerships. There are three Collector Edition models available for 2024. The last one released was the ZL1 Garage 56 Edition, featuring graphics that resemble the NASCAR LeMans car.
Changes for the 2024 Colorado
For 2024, a new version of the Colorado ZR2 is coming out. Designed in collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles, the ZR2 Bison is a formidable off-road machine. Some of the features include front and rear power-locking differentials, beadlock-capable wheels, 35-inch mud tires, an AEV front and rear bumper, and Boron steel skid plates. With the Bison now on the table, Chevrolet dropped the Desert Boss model from the lineup.
Changes for the 2024 Corvette
There are several changes for the Chevy Corvette, including some new features on the Z06 and Stingray as well as new appearance packages. But the real story is the Corvette E-Ray. This all-new model pairs the familiar 6.2-liter V8 sending power to the rear wheels with an electric motor that powers the front wheels. This is the first AWD Corvette with a horsepower rating of 655. The battery for the front wheels charges as you drive.
Changes for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD and 1500
A few updates are on the table for the Silverado 1500, including the Duramax 3.0-liter turbodiesel being available on the off-road ZR2 model. Trucks with the 6.2-liter V8 now have an active exhaust system option. The Chevrolet Silverado HD trucks get a refresh for 2024 that includes updated styling and a new interior for most of the trims. The LT trim and above offer upgraded materials and finishes with more tech. Four new towing systems are available as well. Perhaps the biggest update is the new ZR2 version of the Chevrolet Silverado HD.
Other Chevy Model Changes for 2024
The Suburban, Tahoe, Malibu, and gas-powered Equinox won’t see any changes for 2024. On the other hand, the Equinox EV is all-new for 2024. The Trailblazer will get a few new features like additional paint colors and wheel designs. The Chevy Traverse and Trax have also been redesigned for 2024. The Traverse gets a new Z71 model for enhanced off-road ability, while the Trax gets more standard tech.
