To make the new GMC Terrain move on the road you’re going to find a base powertrain that starts with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pumps out 252 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission to give you the fuel efficiency that will surprise you on the road when you receive as much as 26 mpg on the highway. You’re going to have the drive you’re looking for in the rugged and capable SUV that the Terrain continues to be in this new version that’s been completely redesigned.

There are four trim levels for you to choose from with the new GMC Terrain with the SL, SLE, SLT, and Denali with the top trim level being the one that looks and feels more like a luxury model while still bringing you the quality and ruggedness you want. This impressive trim level will offer you the ride you want on 19-inch wheels, enjoy a leather interior, feel comfortable with the dual zone climate controls, and experience the benefits of a heated steering wheel, all of which are standard fare on the Denali trim of the Terrain.
When you want capacity, the Terrain offers you just a little less than 30 cubic feet of storage space behind the second row of seats which is expanded to more than 63 cubic feet when these seats are folded down. This rear seat area is also comfortable and even though GMC took away the slide function of the rear seats, there is ample room for legs and knees of anyone to sit in this location regardless of their height. With the space for gear and the room for taller occupants, the Terrain is an SUV that is easy to fit inside and experience a comfortable drive.
Take a look at the cabin area up front and you’ll see an infotainment system that responds quickly to your inputs along with comfortable and elegant qualities that you expect in an SUV wearing this badge. There is an available diesel engine for you to choose when you want to have more low-end power than in the past. This new version of the GMC Terrain is built right and capable of being the right choice for you when you’re ready to head out on the roads in an SUV that brings the comfort, quality and capacity you need.
