It’s always fun to look forward and see what’s coming next. We love to think about the future and the hope it might bring whether that thought takes to our favorite vacation spots, a place of financial security, or into a new car that we know we’re going to love to drive. The Hyundai Elantra is a car that brings you joyful thoughts of what’s to come for the 2021 model year. This impressive compact car will be offered on a brand new platform with larger dimensions and a sleeker style to give you a great car to drive.
More Tech Please
Mainstream cars are being offered with more premium materials than ever before. This push makes its way to the Hyundai Elantra to give you the benefits of the technology and materials you want in the cabin. You’ll find an available dual-screen setup to give you the instrument panel and infotainment screen within a single piece of glass for a clean look. You’ll have the connectivity you want with wireless access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Voice recognition will be standard and you’ll have customizable mood lighting with 64 different colors to give you the ambiance you want in your Elantra.
The Elantra Feels Like a Luxury Car
You might make a connection between the Hyundai Elantra and a Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which is exactly what Hyundai wants you to do. The cabin of the Elantra offers you an easy package of features with the new Hyundai digital key and a wide range of safety features in the SmartSense suite. Enjoy the benefits of forward-collision avoidance, lane-keep assist, lane follow assist, automatic high beams, and the driver attention warning system. You can add adaptive cruise control, lane centering, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alerts at higher trims.
A Hybrid Elantra Joins the Lineup
For the first time, the Hyundai Elantra will be offered as a hybrid model. This version will give you a 1.6-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine and a 32kW electric motor to give you the combination you want. The output for this model allows you to have 139 horsepower, 195 lb.-ft. of torque, and a combined 50 mpg range for the hybrid version. Regular models of the Elantra bring you the 2.0-liter engine that makes 147 horsepower and 132 lb.-ft. of torque for the drive. There will be an N-Line model of this car in the future, but we’re not sure when it will arrive yet.
