Get ready, the mighty Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is about to show itself once again and it’s expected to be a hardcore version of the C8 model.
Now that we’ve seen the mid-engine success of the Corvette, it’s time for this car to give us something more to drive. For that reason, the 2022 model year is expected to include the new Z06 to give us a car that will look meaner than the current version of the C8 Corvette.
A New Look to Excite You
When the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 arrives, it’s expected to sound unlike any other model and it will have a more aggressive look than the current C8 model. We should see flared fenders, larger air scoops, and aerodynamic additions that can actively adjust to the maximum high-speed downforce and cornering traction needed to control this car. This new model will have all the goodies we love and the upgraded performance we associate with the Z06 name.
A Bigger Engine for the Chevrolet Corvette Z06
If you think the current Corvette still falls a bit short of where other supercars are, this new hardcore Z06 model will give us more power for the drive. This version is going to be powered by a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 engine which is specially tuned to make over 600 horsepower. This unconventional V8 will make use of an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and RWD to give you the power you want.
Excellent Speed for the Chevrolet Corvette Z06
We’ll have to wait for the Chevrolet team to test the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06, but considering it makes at least 100 more horsepower than the C8 model, it should be much faster. Currently, the Corvette Z51 rockets from zero to sixty mph in 2.8 seconds and it can finish a standing quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 122 mph. The new Z06 model will be even quicker.
Strength Where You Need it in this Car
The new Z06 version of the Chevrolet Corvette will use a set of wider, stickier tires and more powerful brakes to help it corner harder and stop shorter than the regular Corvette. The Chevy team will also strengthen the structure and improve the suspension to give you the performance you want when you take this incredible car out on the track.
