Mercedes-Benz makes several positive changes in its global product line and corporate social responsibility programs.
A recent announcement from the luxury brand introduces the new Driving Your Future program, an investment in the next generation of drivers. Whether younger drivers will reach to models from this brand for the luxury vehicles they want to drive or not; this brand is invested in them. This new program is made to empower the next generation of drivers through its partnership with Safe Kids Worldwide, Junior Achievement USA, and Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund to support educational programs focusing on technology and sustainability.
Driving Your Future Could Put The Next Generation to Work
The investment in educational programs focusing on sustainability, technology, career readiness, and child and teen injury prevention will begin to develop the next group of autoworkers in the United States. This program focuses on communities where the MBUSA employees live and work. Will students that participate in this program become some of the next leaders of this company as it expands its global footprint into the United States with more than simply an investment in the youth of America.
The Sustainability Factor Goes Farther
Mercedes-Benz is committed to becoming an EV company in the future. By 2030, all models from this brand will either be fully electric or plug-in hybrids that offer incredible fuel economy levels. Not only is this company investing in the youth of America, but they are making a new electric model at their plant in Alabama. This new car is the Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan. This new model introduces the EV future of this brand and brings the production lines desired to build several electric models. The following vehicle coming from this same plant is the EQS SUV, which will be made in Alabama and have batteries sourced from nearby.
What is the new EQS Sedan?
Calling the latest electric sedan from this brand EQS makes sense. The S-Class has been one of the most highly respected and admired models in the luxury sedan world for a long time. Every new electric model from this brand will wear the EQ name, and the EQS offers a wheelbase and builds that are incredibly close to the gas-powered S-Class model. For 2022 there are two versions of the EQS offered, the 450+ and the 580, which offer different qualities.
What Makes the EQS a Car You Want to Drive?
Even though it’s the first electric Mercedes-Benz model, the EQS offers several reasons you’ll want to drive this impressive electric sedan. The EQS delivers 350 miles of going on a full charge. This car is bursting with technology and luxurious features. There’s an Airmatic air suspension that offers a highly smooth drive. For two years, you’ll also have free 30-minute DC fast charging sessions with Electrify America. These qualities, along with the brand’s level of luxury, offer you an incredible drive in a new and impressive electric luxury sedan.
Admire the Open and Airy Feeling
The EQS is an electric car which means it doesn’t require a transmission tunnel for the drivetrain. This allows the interior to offer a flat floor, which helps the car feel more open and airy than otherwise. This car has classic elements, including intricately stitched leather upholstery and natural wood trim. The dashboard features a large MBUX Hyperscreen with a massive vehicle-wide infotainment/information screen that spreads across the car to give you the readings you want when you’re behind the wheel of your new electric luxury car.
A Lot of Liberties Were Taken with the Exterior Styling
The Mercedes-Benz EQS is a purpose-built electric car, allowing designers to take some liberties with style. The EQS is optimized for packaging and ergonomics to give you the aerodynamics and smooth look you can easily admire. The extended roofline allows the EQS to be both sedan and hatchback simultaneously. This means you’ll have plenty of room for your gear and the space you need for your family and friends to ride along. Everyone will love the modern look and feel of this great electric car.
You’ll Find Everything You want in this EV
The electric flagship sedan that is the EQS offers you a complete package of standard equipment to make it a car you’ll love to drive. This car has:
