With spring right around the corner, the highly-anticipated Easter Jeep Safari will be here before you know it. This is the 56th year for this fun and popular event. As always, Jeep is going to show up with some interesting concept vehicles. Attendees should expect to see some pretty wild ideas for the Jeep Gladiator and Grand Cherokee this April.

What Is the Moab Jeep Safari?

The Jeep Safari is an annual event hosted by the Red Rock four-wheelers off-road club. Drivers bring their off-road vehicles to the open areas of the Moab, Utah, area. While the festival uses the word “Jeep” in its title, it’s open to four-by-four trucks, SUVs, and more. The event typically lasts for nine days and goes through Easter weekend.

Drivers can go alone or join groups to hit various trails. Paths are ranked by difficulty, 1-10, and can take a few hours or all day to complete. It’s a highly-attended event that brings off-road enthusiasts together for a memorable experience. It’s also a chance for auto brands like Jeep to show off their new concept rides.

The Jeep Gladiator

There isn’t a ton of information available about the new concept Jeep Gladiator, but it’s sure to be an exciting sight. Based on promo posters, it certainly appears that there will be some fun accessories to help drivers tackle the off-road trails. Rumors suggest a new set of extra-large tires and a brush guard in the front.

As Jeep’s only pickup truck in the lineup, the Jeep Gladiator is a welcome addition to the Moan Jeep Safari. Gladiator enthusiasts are on pins and needles to see what kinds of innovations Jeep is bringing to the table.

The Jeep Cherokee

All signs point to Jeep showing off a 4xe (pronounced “four-by-e”) version of the Grand Cherokee. This plug-in hybrid version of the popular Grand Cherokee would be an extension of the already coveted Wrangler 4xe Jeep.

The Moab Jeep Safari is the perfect place to showcase the capability and performance of a plug-in hybrid Jeep. As Jeep pushes to reaching a zero-emissions status, a little press revealing how a plug-in handles the dirt will go a long way.

Register For the Safari Today

Drivers who still hope to attend this year’s Jeep Safari can register at the Red Rock Four Wheelers’ website. Vehicles need to be registered in order to attend.
This year’s Easter Jeep Safari will start on April 9th and will go through April 17th. Participants must provide their own 4×4 vehicle, food, and non-alcoholic beverages. It’s also critical to bring plenty of water, sun protection, etc.

If you’re looking to break in your new Jeep Gladiator or other four-wheel-drive vehicles, there’s no better place to do so than at the Moab Jeep Safari.
